- STANDARD: Lamella width 40-50 mm (uniform size within one board), lamella length 150-600 (random)
- ECONOMIC: Lamella width 30-39 mm (uniform size within one board), lamella length 150-500 (random))

- „AMERICAN BOARD“: Thin lamella glued on wider edge; maximum lamella thickness 60 mm, max. lamella width 20 mm, lamella length 200-500 mm (random)

- C “wild oak”: Sapwood allowed, knags up to 20 mm allowed
AMERICAN WALNUT
- A: No sapwood, no knags, no rot; few black dots allowed
- B: Sapwood up to 10% of the surface allowed, knags up to 10 mm allowed; knag holes filled with a black filler
